When you can't wait until Monday

Most pest companies work banker's hours. You call at 7pm on a Saturday and get a voicemail box that gets checked Monday morning — which is no help at all when there's a wasp nest by your front door or you've just found droppings in the kitchen.

We named the business After Hours Pest Control because that gap is the entire point. Evenings, weekends, and emergency calls anytime. If you're searching for an exterminator at an hour when nobody answers, you've found the right one.

Same-day pest control

Same-day service is usually available across Staten Island, Brooklyn and our Central New Jersey towns. The single fastest way to get a slot is to text a photo of what you're seeing along with your location — that lets us identify the pest before we leave, load the right treatment, and skip a diagnostic visit entirely.

📸 Snap a photo of the pest. It helps us identify the problem faster and arrive prepared with the right treatment on the first visit.

What actually counts as a pest emergency

Not everything needs someone out tonight, and we'll tell you honestly when it can wait until tomorrow. These are the ones that usually can't:

  • Wasps, hornets or yellow jackets near a doorway or walkway — particularly with children, pets, or anyone allergic to stings in the house
  • Rats or mice active in living space — not in the attic or garage, but in the kitchen, the bedroom, where you actually live
  • Bed bugs found before travel, before guests, or in a rental turnover — the window to stop them spreading is short
  • Cockroaches in a restaurant, deli or food business during service — a health inspector doesn't schedule
  • Any pest situation that's keeping a business closed — every hour costs real money
  • A pest problem in a rental you're legally required to address — tenant complaints and violations have clocks on them

Weekend and evening service

This isn't an emergency surcharge dressed up as a feature. Evening and weekend appointments are how we normally work, because most people aren't home at 1pm on a Wednesday — and for commercial clients, treatment outside business hours means no disruption to customers, tenants or staff.

For homeowners

Book a time when you're actually home, instead of taking a half-day off work and sitting in a four-hour window.

For restaurants and food service

We treat after close. Your kitchen is clear, your customers never see it, and your service isn't interrupted. See restaurant pest control.

For apartment buildings and property managers

Common areas, trash rooms, compactor rooms and basements treated in the evening, when residents aren't walking through it. See apartment buildings & property management.

Emergency service by pest

Whatever's going on, we handle it:

One thing worth knowing before you seal anything

If you've found wasps going into a gap in your siding, or a rodent entry point you think is active, don't seal it shut first. Blocking the only exit on an occupied nest or burrow drives them further into the structure — often into the walls and interior of your house. Treat first, confirm activity has stopped, then seal.

Where we cover

Staten Island is home base, which is why we can usually be at an island address the same evening. We also cover Brooklyn, Lower Manhattan, and Bayonne, Elizabeth, Woodbridge, Robertsville and Manalapan in New Jersey. Licensed and insured in both states — see all service areas.

Stop the next emergency before it happens

Most of the emergency calls we take were preventable. A monthly or quarterly maintenance program catches activity early, keeps entry points sealed, and costs a fraction of a crisis callout. Ask about it when you call.

Common questions

Do you really answer at night?

Emergency calls are welcome anytime. If we can't pick up immediately, text us — texts get seen fast, and a photo means we can tell you straight away whether it needs someone tonight or can wait until morning.

How fast can you get here?

On Staten Island, often the same evening. Brooklyn and New Jersey depend on the day and traffic. Text first and we'll give you a real answer rather than a sales one.

What if it turns out not to be urgent?

We'll tell you. Talking someone out of an emergency visit they don't need is how you get a customer who calls back and refers you.
